In Parliament of Moldova registered a draft law on the suppression of foreign propaganda, designed to prohibit the retransmission of the country’s propaganda broadcasts of Russian TV channels. This was announced by the speaker of the legislature, the speaker, according to the portal Publika.md.
“TV channels (will be) allowed to display the information-analytical programs, news releases and programs on military subjects only on the EU countries, USA, Canada, other States of the European Convention on transfrontier television (Russia has not ratified the document – ed.). The restrictions will apply only to news and analytical programs,” he said.
CANDU added that violation of the law will be penalties, including financial, until the withdrawal of the broadcasting license.

The leader of the Democratic party of Moldova Vlad plahotniuc, who is the author of this legislative initiative, stressed that the bill does not prohibit the retransmission of Russian TV channels.
“We are talking about information security of the state. This initiative will not lead to the closure of television channels that are relayed from Russia, as I’m sure some will speculate,” said he.
