The Polish Institute of national remembrance (NPC) has published a list of the names of the staff of the Auschwitz concentration camp, which represents more than 9 thousand names.
“This is a historic day. This base is just the beginning. We started with Auschwitz, but in the future the database will be updated with the names of employees working in other Nazi concentration camps,” – said at a press conference in Krakow Director of INP Jaroslav Sarek, reports Radio Poland.
He stressed that the view of the database with the names is a response to the use of the expression “Polish death camps”.
“Once someone says something about “Polish concentration camps”, here, please – we show the camp staff, the command of the SS. Moreover, we have made this list available on the Internet, things never did,” added Sarek.
