Four civilians were killed and three others wounded after a suicide bomber blew himself up in restaurant in the town of Baidoa in southwest Somalia. This was reported by the local police, TV channel ABCNews.
A police officer reported that a terrorist entered a crowded restaurant under the guise of a client, targeting a group of visitors.
It is also said that no terrorist organization has yet claimed responsibility for the explosion. Associated with al-Qaeda extremist group al-Shabab often makes deadly explosions in crowded areas of the capital of Somalia, Mogadishu and other places.
The U.S. military on Friday, August 4, confirmed that over the weekend in an airstrike had killed the leader of extremist group al-Shabab in Somalia.
