In Spain while on holiday arrested Swedish-Turkish writer Hamza Yalcin, after Turkey accused him of “involvement in terrorism”. On it informs edition The Local.es.
59-year-old Yalcin was detained at passport control at the airport of Barcelona, from which he was supposed to fly to London. The reason for the arrest was issued by the Turkish Interpol warrant.
Ankara accuses of Yalcin that he allegedly organized the terrorist acts in the newspaper Odak Is in Turkey in 2010.
Yalcin, living in Sweden, has dual citizenship in Sweden and Turkey. He worked as a teacher and chief editor of the socialist journal the Odaka Dergisi and was involved in organizations and Amnesty Författarförbundet (international Congress of writers and literati).
Yalcin is the second Swedish citizen, who was detained on a tip from Turkey last month.
