In Chernobyl they are building the first solar power station. This was announced by Prime Minister Vladimir Groisman according to environment Minister Ostap Semerak.
According to preliminary estimates, the solar panels will generate electricity in the range of 2.5 thousand mW.
“Investors already have – we received 50 applications. I am confident that these investments will be successful and it will also be a contribution to our energy independence,” – said Groisman.
Earlier it was reported that Ukraine has received 52 applications for installation of solar energy facilities in the exclusion zone.
Ukraine has reduced the rent of land in the Chernobyl zone and the simplified procedure of its lease.
