The court found the mayor of Svyatogorsk of Donetsk region Alexander Dzyuba guilty of a misdemeanor of corruption and sentenced him to a fine in the amount of 1700 UAH. About it reports a press-service of national Agency concerning prevention of corruption.

According to the report, the Slavic city district court on 4 September 2017, having received from NACP materials found the official guilty under part 1 of article 172-7 of the Cao (violation of the requirements for the prevention and settlement of conflict of interests).

“The court has appointed him (the Russian – ed.), the administrative penalty of a fine of one hundred non-taxable minimum incomes of citizens, that is 1700 UAH”, – said the Agency.

Previously, NACP found that the mayor of Svyatogorsk with the title of honorary citizen of this city, has suspended the decision of the city Council about the loss of the owners of the title, working in local government provided rights and benefits.

As noted in the Department, this decision Dzyuba had broken the rules of resolution of conflicts of interest in the activities of mayors, but it is not reported as required by law, that they have a real conflict of interest.

In August 2017 Natspolitsiya said that since the beginning of this year, Ukrainian officials amounted to 3307 protocols for violation of the law on prevention of corruption; total amount of fines $ 1.8 million.
