In January-July 2016, all categories of farms in Ukraine were produced 6,192 million tons of milk, which is 1.7% less than in the corresponding period in 2015 this year Ukraine will produce of 10.49 million tons of milk. This is evidenced by the forecasts of experts of the Economic discussion club (EDK), reports latifundist.com.
According to the forecasts of EDK, the exports of dairy products by the end of 2016 will amount to 300 thousand tons and imports of 100 thousand tons
So, for the first 7 months of this year Ukraine exported 224 thousand tons of dairy products, which is 10.7% less compared to the same period a year earlier. The import of dairy products amounted to 59 thousand tons, which is 58% more compared to January-July 2015
It is noted that molokoprodukty mainly exported to countries of the former USSR (Kazakhstan, Georgia, Turkmenistan etc.) as well as in Morocco. The basic commodity positions of Ukrainian dairy exports is butter (46%), and imports cheese (66%).
In 2015, Ukraine has significantly reduced the production of dairy products. In particular, production of milk decreased by 11% to 966 thousand tons, butter – also 11%, to 101 thousand tons, spreads and fat mixtures by 31% to 36.2 thousand tons of unfermented fresh cheese by 9%, to 67.2 thousand tons, fat cheeses – by 5% to 123 thousand tons, yogurt – by 9% to 426 thousand tons, milk products – by 10%, to 155 thousand tons.
