Department of the State service of Ukraine on food safety and consumer protection in Poltava, Kharkiv and Dnipropetrovsk regions registered the death of pigs in personal subsidiary farms of citizens in the period from 24 to 26 January 2017.

As defined by the examination, the cause of death of the animals became ASF virus.

The ASF outbreaks recorded in the village of Shyshaky (Poltavska oblast), S. Ilichevka (Barvenkovsky district, Kharkov region), S. Jolly (sinelnikovskoye district, Dnipropetrovsk region) and in the economy PE Dzundza V. I. (S. Novopillya, Krivoy Rog district, Dnipropetrovsk region).

Additionally, the ASF virus was identified during the study of the biomaterial, taken from the corpse of domestic pigs near the village Exactly novoukrainskaya region Kirovograd region.

The foci are actions to contain and prevent the spread of the causative agent of ASF.

Recall that in the period from 17 to 24 January of an outbreak of ASF was registered in Kharkiv, Donetsk, Kherson and Luhansk regions.
