New ambassadors from Afghanistan, Georgia and Denmark commenced his duties in Ukraine, the press service of the President of Ukraine.
President Petro Poroshenko has accepted the credentials from ambassadors of Denmark Ruben Madsen’s, the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, Sardar Mohammad Rahman Oghli and Georgia Gels Dumbadze.
Poroshenko congratulated the Danish Ambassador with the appointment and expressed his gratitude to the government of Denmark for their support in the implementation of projects to combat corruption. The President also welcomed the willingness of Denmark to hold a Second conference on reforms in Ukraine in June 2018.
With the Ambassador of Afghanistan, the President discussed bilateral cooperation and thanked him for his knowledge of the Ukrainian language.
During the meeting with the Ambassador of Georgia Poroshenko discussed the implementation of agreements reached during the visit of the President of Ukraine to Georgia, as well as coordinating the de-occupation of territories of both countries, the integration of Ukraine and Georgia into the EU and NATO.
Earlier today it was reported that the President submitted to the Verkhovna Rada a draft law on ratification of protocols No. 15 and No. 16 to the Convention for the protection of human rights and fundamental freedoms.
