In December 2016, compared with November, the attendance of Kiev’s shopping centers increased on average by 6.7% and amounted to 842 persons per 1,000 sqm of leased space. Data provided by analysts of Ukrainian trade Guild (UTG).
However, the attendance of regional shopping centres in December 2016 increased by 20.6% to 826 persons per 1,000 sq m of rental area. As for the district of TTS, there is also a saw an increase in the number of visitors by 3.3% to 847 persons per 1000 sq. m.
Head of consulting Department of the UTG Viktor Oborsky said that “last month, the vacancy rate of retail space, excluding newly opened Central Department store and Mall, Lavina Mall, retail space fell to 5%”.
He also drew attention to the fact that as of the end of December 2016, the average rental rate for the premises of the gallery of fashion ranging from 100 to 200 square meters $33/1 sq. m excluding VAT and operational costs.

“We observed a moderate recovery of the retail segment. Currently, the market is in equilibrium: the balance between supply and demand”, – said the expert UTG.
