Consumer prices in Ukraine in October compared with the previous month increased by 1.2% since the beginning of the year inflation amounted to 11.5%. According to the State statistics service of Ukraine.

According to state statistics, in the consumer market in October, prices for foodstuffs and soft drinks rose 1.1%. Most (14.9% and 10.2%), the prices of eggs and bacon. 5.5 to a 1.5% increase in prices for milk, butter, sour cream, cheese, dairy products, rice, beef, bread. At the same time, 6,5-0,7% cheaper buckwheat, sugar, fruits, vegetables, and pork.

Prices of alcoholic beverages and tobacco increased by 1.3%.

The growth of prices (tariffs) for housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuels by 0.5% was primarily due to the increase of tariffs for water supply by 2.1%, Sewerage – by 1.1%, the maintenance of houses and adjoining areas by 0.4%.

Higher prices for transport as a whole by 2.4%, mainly due to rising costs of fuel and oils by 4.4%. However, there was a reduction in the cost of transportation by railway passenger transport by 5.5%.

In the communication sector, prices grew by 0.8% due to a rise in local telephony 7.1%.

We will remind, according to gosstat, in September inflation was 2% the previous month and 16.4% in annual terms.

The government has forecast inflation this year at level of 12,9%, the NBU is 12.2% at the end of the year.
