Intel, in conjunction with the Chinese giant in the field of telecommunications Tencent signed an agreement of intent on joint development of solutions based on the blockchain technology for the IOT space, says the Chinese edition Laoyaoba.
Joint statement of the two companies was made in China at the annual event the World of Internet of Things.
The developers intend to focus on the development of the project company Tencent – TUSI Internet of Things laboratory. The project aims to enhance security solutions for corporate customers, network of physical objects of the Internet of things.
In turn, Intel will provide its cloud-based Tencent blockchain technology. The statement did not specify whether it is a design based on Hyperledger or based on the Coco Framework.
TUSI IoT lab is a research center specializing in tests of advanced industrial technologies, their certification, joint development and other technical services.
The project TUSI Internet of Things laboratory has set itself the ambitious task of creating a “smart city”, where the main service will operate according to the principle of decentralization. The project participants are confident that the concept of “smart city” can be implemented using blockchain, cloud computing and Internet of things.
