JPMorgan Chase & Co has estimated Ukrainian GDP-warrants the second more than they are trading now. This writes Bloomberg, citing a JPMorgan report published in late March.
GDP-warrants were issued under a debt transaction, which at the end of 2015 held the then Minister of Finance of Ukraine Natalia Yaresko. Under the terms of the transaction, the payment of the warrants shall take place no earlier than 2021, and only in the case that the Ukrainian GDP will grow by 35% to $125.4 billion
The national Bank of Ukraine has lowered its forecast for GDP in connection with the blockade of Donbass from 2.8% to 1.9% this year. Despite that and the continuing risk of an escalation of the military aggression of the Russian Federation in the Donbass, JPMorgan recommended investors to pay attention to a Ukrainian warrant.
This week, they added to the price of 5.7 cents to 36.8 cents. JPMorgan itself has set the price at 80 cents.
