Kyiv city state administration and the company Kyivenergo extended the agreement on the management of the heating network of Kyiv until April 26, 2018. this was stated by the head of the Kyivenergo Supervisory Board Ivan Plachkov at the press conference.
According to him, the contract was extended until the end of the heating season.
The agreement between KCSA and Kyivenergo was signed on 27 September 2001 As reported in June 2017 Kyiv city Council decided to terminate the agreement with Kyivenergo. To avoid emergency situations during the heating season, the decision provided for the extension of the agreement until April 26, 2018
According to the Deputy head of the KSCA Peter Panteleev, the decision involves an inventory of the property and then return it to the community.
It was also reported that the Kyiv authorities are in talks with Fortum Corporation (Finland) and Veolia Environnement (France) on possible cooperation in the management of heat networks.
Kyivenergo operates almost all power facilities located in the capital, with the exception of the Darnytsia heat and power.
