2017 was a record amount of new equipment purchased for the capital’s urban transport. This was stated by the mayor of Kiev Vitaly Klitschko, the press service of Kyiv city state administration.
In 2017, funded by the city budget of Kyiv has purchased 45 new trams two manufacturers: Polish Pesa and Lviv concern Electron. Also, the city has purchased 100 new buses MAZ.
In addition, the Kyiv municipal enterprise has acquired 80 trolleybuses of Ukrainian origin Bohdan, of which 60 will be single and 20 articulated low-floor.
Earlier it was reported that the Polish Pesa to start production of trams in Kyiv.
