National joint stock company Naftogaz of Ukraine intends on 26 August to present to the Arbitration Institute of Stockholm chamber of Commerce data on facts of violation by the company of Gazprom’s transit contract, which took place in July 2016. About this on air of channel 5 said the head of Board of Naftogaz Andrey Kobelev.

“This will reach up to 26 August this year, when Naftogaz will apply the latest so-called inventory view of all information material to the arbitration in our claim for the transit of natural gas. This is the moment when we can present the materials, of course, these data will be included and will be considered in these materials. Our lawyers are already working on this issue,” – said KOBOLEV.

27 Jun KOBOLEV said, Gazprom violates the obligations under the transit contract by reducing the pressure of the gas supply. According to him, at the end of July, in addition to reducing the volume of transits, the Russian Federation reduced the inlet pressure to Ukraine and that created certain technological problems to Ukrtransgaz.

25 November 2015, the Naftogaz of Ukraine stopped buying gas from Gazprom. Ex-Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk said that Ukraine will not buy gas from Russia at a price of $212,23 per thousand cubic meters and the country is much more profitable to produce the reverse supply from Europe.

Ukraine in 2015, reduced imports of Russian gas by almost 3 times. The imports last year amounted to 6.1 billion cubic meters, and by the end of 2014 to 14.5 billion cubic meters.

4 June, Prime Minister Vladimir Groysman declared that does not exclude the possibility of purchases of Russian gas. 20 July, Naftogaz said it was ready to resume talks with Gazprom.
