French cosmetics company L’oréal has stopped cooperation with a transgender model Munro Bagdora for racist statements in social networks against whites.
“L’oréal protects diversity. Reviews of Munro Bergdorf’s contrary to our values and therefore we have decided to end our partnership” – said in a Twitter company.
Bergdorf on the page commented on the decision of the company in Facebook. “When I said that “all white people are racists”, I was referring to the fact that Western society as a whole is a system based on white superiority – designed to benefit, prioritize, and protect white people before any other race. Unconsciously, white men are socialized to be racists from birth and beyond. It’s not something genetic. No one is born a racist”, he said.
According to the BBC, when Munro Bergdorf’s was selected among models to participate in the ongoing L’oreal campaign #allworthit (“worthy”), transgender people called the face of modern ethnic and cultural diversity.
However soon after 29-year-old model and DJ from London, wrote online: “Honestly, I have no more strength to speak about racist violence by white people. Yes, ALL white people. Since most of you don’t even realize all of your existence, privilege, and success as a race built on the backs, blood and death of people of color. Your entire existence is imbued with racism.”
