If confirmed the use against civilians in Syria chemical weapons, France will strike. This was stated by the President of France Emmanuel macron, reports Reuters.
“The chemical weapons I set the red line. If we have evidence that the treaties banned chemical weapons were used, we will strike at the place where it was done,” said macron.
He noted that is not yet reliably established using this type of weapons against the civilian population.
On Friday, February 9, macron spoke with Russian President Putin and expressed concerns that Damascus could use weapons against civilians.
In January 2018 the chemical weapons were allegedly used in Eastern ghouta, which is controlled by the Syrian opposition. The responsibility for this human rights activists have placed on the regime in Damascus.
February 1, 2018, it was reported that the US allocated $350 thousand for the financing mechanism to investigate crimes in Syria.
