To resolve the conflict in the Donbas will have to get used to such words as “compromise”. This was stated by the representative of Ukraine in the tripartite contact group in Minsk Yevhen Marchuk in an interview with Public television of Donbass.
“Single-line and simple solutions to not wait. (…) Even have to get used to such words as “compromise”. But there’s a red line where compromises cannot be border of the state, structure and so on. And there are pieces where you want to compromise, especially transition periods, transitional interim administration, perhaps even with the participation of the UN or the OSCE, or transition with the participation of the people on this side and on that territory, the front line, another mode temporarily to create,” said Marchuk.
According to him, the world experience shows that is to resolve the conflict fail. Moreover, that Russia – “a very experienced machine, devilishly strong” with the tools and military power.
The world has seen more than 220 such military conflicts only after the Second world war. Studied 60 of them. Marchuk said that Ukraine is most suitable option for Northern Ireland.
