In the Baltic sea starts on Tuesday the active phase of Russian-Chinese naval exercises Naval interaction – 2017. About this informed the official representative of the Baltic fleet in the Russian Navy Roman Martov, a propaganda resource reports TASS.

“Today, the Russian and Chinese ships participating in the exercises, leaving Parking places in Baltiysk (the main naval base of the fleet) and sent to the polygons of the Baltic sea for the practical tasks of the maneuvers,” said he.

On Tuesday, the military will conduct artillery fire on sea and air targets.

A detachment of ships of the Chinese Navy is represented by the destroyer “Hefei”, the frigate “Unicen” and supply vessel “Laahu”.

From the Russian Navy, the exercise involved the corvettes “guarding” and “Courageous”, and rescue tug SB-123. At different phases of the maneuvers will also involve ship-based multipurpose helicopters Ka-27, tactical Sukhoi su-24 military transport An-26 aircraft of naval aviation of the Baltic fleet, the helicopters, based on the Chinese ships.

Active phase of the exercises will be held from 25 to 27 July. The sailors of the two countries, in practice, to train joint organization of anti-sabotage, anti-aircraft and anti-ship defense, conduct of the operation to assist the distressed ship.

July 18, 2017 it was reported that the exercises will be observed by three ships of the Navy of the Netherlands.
