The National police do not want to say, whether to grant the court access to the law enforcement authorities to the telephone conversations of a journalist Pavel Sheremet, referring to secrecy of the investigation. This was at the briefing in Kiev, said Tuesday the Deputy Chairman of Ukraine Konstantin Bushuev, reports Ukrainian Pravda.
“Such criminal proceedings are complicated and provides for the secrecy of the investigation”, – he said.
“On 1 September it became known that the Pechersky regional court of Kiev is delaying the review of applications for providing access to the telephone conversations in the murder of Sheremet. It was reported that on examining one of the investigating magistrates of the court of 8 Aug is more than 20 applications for granting permission for temporary access to the information from mobile operators. One more request (August 10) – for permission to conduct the search,” the statement reads.
On 8 September the chief of criminal police, Vadim Troyan said that are operating in the case of murder of the journalist, the police is unable to provide significant information on the case.
On 6 September, the head of national police Khatia Dekanoidze said that a breakthrough in the investigation into the murder Sheremet yet.
On 20 July at 07:45 am in the center of Kiev were blown up the car of the editor-founder of the Ukrainian truth Alyona Pritula, which was Sheremet. He died in the ambulance. Prosecutor General Yury Lutsenko declared that the death Sheremet is murder.
August 21, Deputy head of the National police, Vadym Troyan said that Sheremet and his civil wife Alena Pritula reported to law enforcement authorities about the fact that they may follow in November 2015.
