German Chancellor Angela Merkel for the fourth time to nominate his candidacy for the post of Prime Minister after the parliamentary elections in Germany next year. This was stated by the Chairman of the Bundestag Committee on foreign policy, Norbert röttgen, representing the party of the Christian democratic Union (CDU), reports DW.
“She will be nominated by a Chancellor candidate,” said Röttgen, the TV channel CNN.
According to him, Merkel is “the cornerstone of the political concept of the West” and acting like the politician at the global level. “So it will move and behave as a responsible leader,” said Röttgen.
Previously, the CDU decided to support the candidacy of social Democrat, foreign Minister of Germany Frank-Walter Steinmeier for President.
