German Chancellor Angela Merkel has opposed the holding of new elections in Germany. She stated at a party meeting in Berlin, AP reported.

“The people voted. And I absolutely do not approve of the idea to ask people to vote again if we can’t do anything with the result,” said Merkel.

DW reported earlier that German Chancellor after the failure of negotiations on the coalition said they were against formation of a minority government and believes new parliamentary elections more acceptable option.

Gone in opposition to Merkel and her CDU/CSU German social Democrats are not ready for entry into the German government, despite the failure of negotiations on creation of coalition with the participation of her party, liberals and “green”. According to the Deputy Chairman of the Social democratic party of Germany (SPD) Ralph Stegner, he “could not imagine” a situation in which the party will change its decision
