Mexican regulators have decided to create governing laws to control bitcoin and cryptocurrency appeal, reports bitcoin.com.

The law “proposes measures to regulate companies involved in digital currency, particularly bitcoin. Measures are written without much detail. The Central Bank will be the arbitrator in such operations”.

This law is a direct response of governments to the cryptocurrency boom. Many analysts claim that Mexico will become the main center of financial technologies in the region.

“We started with less than 50 companies in 2015, to 158 in 2016, this year such companies already 240”, – said the source bitcoin.com.

While the government has not released any official statements about it. However, given the significant increase in popularity of cryptocurrency, this bill has all chances to appear in the next six months.

Recall that in Singapore are also working to create a regulatory framework for payments in the cryptocurrency.
