The sentence of Shevchenkovsky district court of Kiev Yuri Krysino involved in the attack on the journalist of the newspaper Vesti Vyacheslav Veremiya during the Maidan events, published in the Unified state register of court decisions. According to information on the registry website, the text of the document was promulgated on December 26, 2017.
In accordance with the text of the sentence, 17 Feb 2014 Krysin money from an unidentified person agreed to organize aunts, to prevent protesters to move to the center of the capital. To perform this “task” to the accused on 18 February passed a wooden bat.
It is noted that Krysin allegedly did not know about the intentions of the other aunts used against participants of the Maidan firearms, and was planning only “to follow the instructions of unknown persons to prevent protesters in the Central part of Kiev”.
Late in the evening of February 18, 2014 at the intersection of streets Vladimir and Big Zhitomir accused together with other attackers attacked the taxi car, which was Veremey. The reason for the attack was the video filming which was conducted by the journalist on your mobile phone.
According to the text of the sentence, Krysin beat Veremiya bat, striking the trunk and legs. The victim fell on the road, and then got up and tried to escape. Seeing this, an unidentified person “without prior arrangement with the accused (Rat)” shot at the journalist from a firearm, due to which he lost consciousness.
The judgement also notes that, when the aunts stopped the car and were in it the people started to run away, Krysin caught up with one of them – Veremiya, – beat and “told other people not to touch him.”
22 December 2017, the Shevchenkovsky regional court of Kiev recognized the Rat found guilty of hooliganism and inflicting minor bodily harm Veremiy during the events of the Maidan, and sentenced him to four years probation. The defendant was released in the courtroom, given the “extenuating circumstances” – the presence of his two young children and alleged remorse.
December 28, the Prosecutor General’s office appealed the verdict Krysino.
