National housing disrupted the Congress of the youth wing of the Communist party of Ukraine – Lenin Communistic Union of Youth of Ukraine in Central Kiev. This was reported on the website of the National body.
Members of the National corps have said they believe their actions are legitimate because there is a law on de-communization and accused the police of using tear gas during the confrontation with supporters of the Communist party.
“No Lenin Komsomol will not be here, we won and their backbone broken,” said speaker of Ncorpus Alexander Alferov.
On the website of the Communist party noted that the representatives of the Azov trying to get into the room where the Plenum “Komsomolets Ukrainy”, and the police had to use tear gas, when opponents of the Communist party tried to get into the room, followed by paramedics. The Communists promise to complain to the international human rights organization, PACE, OSCE, the UN office for human rights.
April 9, 2015 the Verkhovna Rada adopted the law on de-communization of Ukrainian society, the access to the archives of repressive bodies of the Communist totalitarian regime 1917-1991 these laws condemned the Communist regime, Soviet symbols is prohibited, open the archives of the Soviet intelligence services and is recognized as fighters for independence of Ukraine, the OUN, UPA and other organizations.
16 Dec 2015 District administrative court of Kyiv banned the activities of the Communist party of Ukraine. 25 January 2016, the Supreme administrative court confirmed the legality of the ban of the Communist party.
According to LIGA:LAW of 20 September 2017 the Board of judges of the Kyiv appellate administrative court satisfied the petition of the representative of the Communist party and suspended the appeal proceedings on the termination of activity of the Communist party to solve the case by the Constitutional Court of Ukraine the constitutional representation of 46 people’s deputies of Ukraine concerning conformity with the Constitution (constitutionality) of the Law No. 317-VІII “condemning Communist and national socialist (Nazi) totalitarian regimes in Ukraine and the prohibition of propaganda of their symbols”.
