The national Bank of Ukraine (NBU) has banned banks (their branches, offices) and financial institutions of Ukraine to carry out cash, including foreign exchange, operations with banknotes (Bank cards) and coins of the Central Bank of the Russian Federation with the image maps, symbols, buildings, monuments, monuments of archeology, architecture, history, local historians and all the other objects located on the occupied by the Russian Federation and administrative-territorial units of Ukraine, or texts relating to the occupation of the Russian Federation and administrative-territorial units of Ukraine. This NBU reported on its official website.

The prohibition also applies to transactions carried out by buying or selling foreign currency in cash between banks.

Also financial institutions and Ukrposhta are prohibited in the exercise or payment transfers, make and issue notes and coins of the aggressor with the image maps, symbols, buildings, monuments, memory, “monuments of archeology, architecture, history, local historians and all other objects located in the Russian Federation occupied territories of Ukraine.

These rules are imposed by the NBU N103, which takes effect October 17.
