The Prime Minister of Poland Mateusz Morawiecki said that the gas pipeline Nord stream-2 may represent a mortal threat to the security of Ukraine. This, according to Niezależna, he said on air of Radio Szczecin.
“We believe that Nord stream-2 is a very bad project that threatens the security of Central Europe. It can be fatal for Ukraine, our closest neighbour, because if we exclude Ukraine from the transit of gas, then nothing will prevent to destabilize the situation in this country even more”, – said the Prime Minister of Poland.
According to him, the Nord stream-2 project, which strongly binds Germany and Russia, and makes Poland again be subjected to price pressure from Gazprom.
Morawiecki also stressed that Poland is very time-constructed LNG terminal in Swinoujscie, through which may partially become independent from Gazprom.
“At the same time, we work on the Baltic pipe or over the gas pipeline to Norway. I talked about this in Brussels with the Prime Minister of Denmark Lars Rasmussen” – said the head of the Polish government.
As reported, Ukraine via Poland received the first batch of liquefied gas from the USA.
