Norway will be placed near the border with the aggressor state of Russia’s armored battalion. This measure provides for a defence plan, which told the head of the Norwegian Ministry of defence Ine Eriksen Sereide, according to Reuters.
Armored division, called “cavalry battalion”, will be placed in a remote municipality of Porsanger in the far North of Norway, near the border with Russia.
The plan also envisages an increase in expenditures for the purchase of tanks, artillery and long-range precision weapons for deployment in this and other areas.

At the same time, the head of the defense Ministry stressed that the situation in the field of security has become “more complex and less predictable.”
