Working Odessa portside plant forced to shut down due to failure of one of the units. About this in Facebook wrote the first Deputy Director of the SCR Nicholas Surikov.

“From 1 November, because of the failure of one of the units of the plant has been forced stopped. During this short period, we tried three times to run the plant, and every time there was a problem in the work of the unit, which was eliminated by our experts. If the issue is resolved completely or will reveal something, it will be clear only when starting the plant and the output of its units at full capacity,” he said.

Surikov also noted that given the falling world prices for products of the plant the prospect of a launch is not yet clear.

“The plant can only operate under a tolling agreement, and such agreement is today signed with the company ERA. Unfortunately, the current work of the plant depends on the commercial ability of cavalca (ERA) is to find buyers for the product range of the SCR. In addition, a situation with unscheduled stops of the plant influenced the failure of the ERA of contracts with buyers,” – said the Deputy Director of the SCR.

Earlier it was reported that the state property Fund of Ukraine intends to privatize OPZ in December 2017.
