In Italy 1100 refugees were rescued by the coast guard on Sunday, August 28. All of them, the report says the Italian authorities, was discovered in the Strait of Sicily. The migrants moved on eight rubber boats, two punts and a large fishing boat. Representatives of the coast guard not reported countries of origin of refugees, reports Deutsche Welle.

According to the International organization for migration published on 26 August, only this year in Italy by sea arrived at about 105 thousand refugees, most of whom departed from Libya. 2700 migrants died in overcrowded boats.
