Nuclear submarine USA Louisiana collided with a support vessel in the Strait of Juan de Fuca off the coast of Washington state. It is reported by the command of the Pacific fleet of the U.S. Navy.

The incident occurred on August 18 during routine operation.

No one was hurt. Assessment of damage to the submarine and the ship. The causes of the collision have to find out after the investigation.

Both vessels returned to port on their own. The submarine returned to Washington, and the ship is in port in Los Angeles.
