On suspicion of rape arrested a well-known Swiss theologian, Professor of Islam at Oxford University Tariq Ramadan. It is reported by rfi.
According to the report, Ramadan was detained after being interrogated by the police.
Two women accuse him of rape, according to them, in 2009 and 2012 in France. Ramadan denies it.
Former Salafite Hand Ayari (41) argues that a Professor sexually assaulted her in a Paris hotel in 2012.
However, the protection of Ramadan gave the police printouts of Facebook conversations in which the user named Hand Ayari Ramadan makes explicit proposals on which he is not responsible.
In October 2017, another woman filed a complaint with the police on similar facts that occurred, according to her, in one of the hotels of Lyon in 2009. The identity of the Complainant is not disclosed.
As the newspaper notes, “the case of Ramadan” in France received a wide resonance. Professor of Islam the University of Oxford, grandson of the founder of the Egyptian Islamist organization “Muslim brotherhood” November was forced to leave teaching. Ramadan believes that he is “a smear campaign”.
