The European Parliament adopted a decision on holding special hearings on the publication of journalistic investigations about the offshore Paradise Papers. This was announced by the Deputy of the European Parliament from the Green party, Sven Giegold in his Twitter.

He said that the meeting will take place on 28 November in Brussels. Hearings will hold a Parliamentary Committee to investigate cases of money laundering and tax evasion will hold a hearing.

After the publication of the next portion of revelatory materials of journalistic investigations about the offshore Paradise Papers, it became known that for Alekseenko company offshore has become a way of withdrawing currency abroad and avoid foreign exchange restrictions in force in Ukraine. We are talking about the Pioneer Foundation, which lasted 14 months. This scheme could be attracted by Alfa-Bank and account Alexenko opened in the Bank of Cyprus.

November 6, 400 journalists from 67 countries simultaneously published incriminating materials on offshore and financial mismanagement of politicians and officials at various levels within the project Paradise Papers or Documents to the Paradise Islands.

Yesterday, November 7, in the presidential administration refused to respond to investigative journalism, in which the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko is accused of tax evasion.
