In this case we are talking about the units involved in the technologies of the future. The financial results of their activities reflected in the records Alphabet in the column of the Other Bets.

Here along with the rest of the company on the development of self-driving cars Waymo and Verily (formerly Google Life Sciences), is known for its projects in the field of health and genetics.

Now all Other Bets will be part XXVI Holdings, which in turn is part of the Alphabet. And Google Corporation transformed into a limited liability company, as also is a holding company and is not a separate public company.

As noted in the Alphabet, the creation of the holding XXVI – “legal technicality”, which will not affect the strategies of Alphabet, its tax liabilities or any other aspects of the work.

XXVI Holdings named in honor of the fact that the English alphabet has 26 letters – number 26 in the name of the new structure is written in Roman numerals.
