U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine Jeffrey Payette said that Ukraine in the next few days will come a new batch of military aid from the United States. The Ambassador said in an interview with Radio Liberty.

“The United States has provided Ukraine assistance in the security sector at $ 600 million. And I’m very proud of what has been achieved and our military exercises in Yavoriv, and modern weapons, even more thousands of night vision devices. New deliveries will be in the coming days,” – said Payette.

On the question of whether Ukraine will receive the ever famous anti-tank missile systems Javelin, the Ambassador noted that Ukraine is able itself to provide themselves with the necessary weapons.

“Ukraine has a powerful defense industry and has the ability to produce its own ammunition. I hope that through collaboration between our industrial sectors in the coming months and years the capacity of defence industry of Ukraine will be strengthened,” – said the diplomat.

Journalist Miroslava Gongadze said that the us senators there is no consensus on the issue of granting Ukraine lethal weapons.
