Ukraine has issued a new interstate lawsuit against Russia over aggression in Donbas and annexation of Crimea to the international court of justice in the Hague. This broadcast channel 112 Ukraine said the Minister of justice Pavel Petrenko.

The lawsuit was prepared jointly with the Ministry of foreign Affairs. “There is another case, which is now already on the way, and we are working with the Ministry of foreign Affairs working on it in the international court of justice. I don’t want to tell details, soon you will know about it,” said the Minister.

He also stressed that Ukraine has already filed in the court of the Hague cases against Russia concerning the annexation of Crimea and occupation of Donbas.

“And one, and the second lawsuit was filed (in Donbass and the Crimea, – ed.), and not only in the Hague. We have a few interstate cases to the European court of human rights – they have five. The international criminal court filed a statement of Ukraine and the events on the Maidan and the events in the Donbas and in the Crimea”, – said the Minister.

Petrenko also reported that the Ministry of justice assists Ukrainians who suffered from the occupation of Donbas and annexation of Crimea, to prepare the individual actions. Two thousand such claims have been filed to the European court.

In January 2016 Petrenko said that citizens of Ukraine have already appealed to the European court of human rights about 700 claims against Russia.
