Within 10 months of 2017, the Polish authorities have granted refugee status to 56 Ukrainian citizens and took 175 of giving the Ukrainians the status of a person in need of complementary protection. It is reported by the Ukrainian Embassy in Poland.

Overall, from January to October 2017, the Office for foreigners in Poland appealed 625 citizens of Ukraine with a request to provide them with international protection.

It is noted that in 2016, such appeals were 1306.

As of July 1, 2017 residence permit in Poland had more than 128 thousand Ukrainians. For the first half of this year, citizens of Ukraine received in Poland 91 436 of work permits of different types (in 2016 was received 103 208 of such permits, and for the first half – 41062).

The Embassy also reported that for the first 9 months of 2017 diplomatic/consular offices of Poland has issued 988 231 visas (Schengen and national). In 2016, this figure was almost the same.
