Poland will build a fence along the border with Belarus and Ukraine at a cost of 30 million euros to stop migration of wild boars. This was announced by the Minister of agriculture of Poland Krzysztof Yurgel, reports Polish radio.
The Ministry of Finance promised to allocate the same amount. It is planned that the fence will be long in 729 km.
After two or three weeks will be known the results of the analysis of the legal and environmental conditions of such facilities.
Experts believe that African swine fever in Poland appeared in infected wild boars, who came from the territory of Belarus.
Previously to build a fence recommended to the economic Council under the Council of Ministers of Poland.
The virus of African swine fever in Poland appeared in February 2014. Since were 49 outbreaks, mostly in areas near the border with Belarus.
In April of this year in Ukraine registered outbreaks of African swine fever in Vinnytsia and Mykolaiv regions.
