Defense Minister Stepan Poltorak tasked the commander of the Ukrainian Navy Igor, Porochenko until the end of the year to resolve the issue of providing housing for sailors, relocated in 2014 to the mainland of Ukraine from the occupied Crimea. This was written by the Minister of defence on his page on Facebook.

“Starting next year, no soldier should not live on the ship. The solution to this issue I will keep personal control”, – said the Poltorak.

The Minister added that he also decided on the allocation of funds from the budget in 2017 to update the facilities of the training center of the airborne forces in the Zhytomyr region.

Earlier, the chief of the Navy Igor Voronchenko said that almost half of the sailors who have not changed the oath and left the Crimea during the occupation of the Peninsula by Russia, continue to live on the ships, not having a home on the shore.
