President Petro Poroshenko welcomed the adoption by the UN General Assembly the resolution on human rights violations in the Crimea. About this he wrote in his Facebook.
“Despite the hybrid attempts to close the “Crimean question”, international front for the de-occupation of Crimea is growing. Despite the brutal repression of the Kremlin, human freedom and dignity not to break down. Despite the blatant manipulation, crimes of the Kremlin do not hide. How not to avoid international responsibility for them – neither the customers nor the organizers nor the performers,” wrote Poroshenko.
In his opinion, today’s resolution sends a strong signal to the aggressor that “for us the rule of international law, truth and justice”.
The UN General Assembly today adopted an updated resolution on “the Situation of human rights in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and Sevastopol, Ukraine”. The resolution voted 70 countries, against 26 countries, 76 countries abstained.
