The President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko will sign the law on pension reform adopted by the Verkhovna Rada on October 3, to Monday, October 9. This was announced by Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman today, October 5, writes UNIAN.

“I talked with the President. The President Monday to sign a law that will give us the opportunity to start next week the payment of pensions to Ukrainian pensioners. Now the bill is in Parliament, it is signed by the head of the Verkhovna Rada, and then he will go to the signature to the President. We need it as quickly as possible to implement,” – said Groisman.

The Pension Fund head Oleksiy Zarudny said that the pensioners, for whom the prescribed period of calculation of pensions for October will come sooner than the entry of the law into force upon signature of the President and official publication, will receive pensions in the old volume, and an additional surcharge for October will receive in November. At the same time pensioners, which pensions will be accrued after the law comes into force, will receive payments at a higher rate.

“All the bodies of the Pension Fund prepared for the rapid allocation and accrual of benefits in accordance with the reform”, – said Zarudny.
