The President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko invited German companies to actively invest in Ukraine, and noted the potential for the development and strengthening of the Ukrainian-German business cooperation. The head of state said at a meeting with representatives of German business circles in the framework of the working visit to Berlin.

As the press service of the President, the meeting was attended by representatives of leading companies in the banking industry, the telecommunications industry, as well as representatives of construction and agricultural companies.

In particular, Poroshenko said that extremely important task, which is the Ukrainian government is to create conditions for safe investment in Ukraine.

The President stressed that together with the launch of deep and comprehensive free trade area between Ukraine and the European Union opened new and promising opportunities for expansion of cooperation between Kyiv and Berlin.

“The head of state noted the strong political will to strengthen the bilateral trade and investment cooperation between Ukraine and Germany”, – stated in the message.

We will remind, today Germany is the largest trading partner of Ukraine in Europe and the third largest in the world. According to the Ministry, German investments in the Ukrainian economy more than $5.4 billion.
