Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko called Belarusian companies to participate in tenders for construction of roads. The head of state said after a meeting with President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko during his working visit to the Republic of Belarus.

As the press service of the President of Ukraine, the heads of state discussed a wide range of issues of bilateral cooperation.

In particular, Poroshenko said that an agreement was reached on the expansion of markets for goods and services from Ukraine and Belarus. “We expect Belarusian companies to participate in tenders for construction of roads on the territory of Ukraine, and the Ukrainian builders are waiting for various tender for construction in Belarus”, – said the President of Ukraine.

We will remind, the head of Ukravtodor Slawomir Nowak said that without a radical increase in the funding situation with the catastrophic state of Ukrainian roads is a long time to change.

Earlier, Prime Minister Vladimir Groysman said that the Cabinet of Ministers this year will allocate 30 billion for repair and construction of roads.

Before that, Novak said that the state budget is 14 billion on roads, of which 7 billion will be used to repay debt.

Ukravtodor also revealed plans of road repairs in 2017. The Ministry noted that the currently available funding allows to repair 727 km of roads, and in the case of allocation of additional funds – 2 thousand km.
