Confirmed information about 45 Ukrainians, who are held hostage by Pro-Russian militants. This was announced by the President Petro Poroshenko met with the mothers of prisoners, the press service of the presidential administration.

“This means that we will fight for their release. This will enable us to triple the effort as soon as possible was positive news,” said Poroshenko.

According to the President, the release of the hostages depends on Russia, which should influence the militants. At the same time Ukraine is ready to compromise.

August 19 Deputy head of the presidential administration Konstantin Eliseev in Berlin will give a list with the names of 45 hostages at the office of the French President and the German Chancellor.

“We hope that we will receive concrete proposals for the release of 45 prisoners,” – said at the meeting, the representative of the Minsk group, first Deputy head of the Verkhovna Rada Iryna Gerashchenko. She noted that on 25 August and 7 September at a meeting in Minsk it will be one of the priority issues.

With the outbreak of hostilities, has released 3080 hostages. Now in captivity of fighters there are 107 military and civilian Ukrainians.
