President Petro Poroshenko has held a meeting with Prime Minister Vladimir Groisman, which discussed the situation with garbage removal in Lviv. About it reports a press-service of the head of the head of state.

“Scavenge – the prerogative of local governments. But when it can not within its competence to solve the issue when its own economic helplessness wrapped in a political matter, and the security of citizens is threatened by environmental disaster – it is necessary to help the citizens”, – said Poroshenko.

It is noted that tomorrow the Prime Minister Groysman plans to visit Lviv with a working visit.

January 23, Lviv mayor Andriy Sadovy appealed to the Prime Minister asking him to instruct the extraordinary Commission to investigate possible new collapse of Gribovichi dump. Groysman said that “residents don’t have to suffer from mismanagement and helplessness of city officials”.

In may last year on Gribovichi dump massive fire occurred after a fire at the dump was a collapse. As a result, under the mountain of garbage was three rescuers, all of them died.

In fact the collapse of the police in Lviv region opened a criminal proceeding, and Grabovetskyy the dump was closed. In Lviv, the situation has deteriorated with the disposal of waste.
