President Petro Poroshenko believes that in the near future Ukraine will receive the next tranche of financial assistance from the European Union. He said this at the opening ceremony of the metro station “Peremoha” in the Kharkiv today, August 19, writes 112.
“I am convinced that soon we will receive powerful financial pillow for the reform tranche of the European Union”, – said Poroshenko.
He added that it is necessary to work with the European Bank for reconstruction and development, the Ukrainian government should take appropriate decisions, to provide opportunities for the local budget to continue construction of the subway in Kharkiv.
Yesterday it was reported that the international monetary Fund (IMF) sent a letter to the government of Ukraine, urging to correct immediately the shortcomings of the system of electronic Declaration and run it in full mode. “Without a certification system will not be working and would not meet the obligations under the program supported by the IMF. Therefore, we urge you to immediately correct this deficiency,” – said in the letter.
One of the mandatory conditions for granting financial assistance to Ukraine the EU is the cooperation with the IMF and the implementation of the programme of reforms agreed with the Fund.
