Ukraine has to take the Crimea to Russia is “very heavy burden” to the occupants who left the Peninsula. This was stated by President Petro Poroshenko, speaking with a message in the Verkhovna Rada.
“Now, about Crimea. Can we recapture the Crimea from Russia by force? Realistic – no. Is she gonna go off myself? Unfortunately, no. But we can create conditions, when the Crimea will be for Moscow a very heavy burden. So the thief throws stolen sometimes, when it starts to burn him. And we must create all conditions so, he was so hot”, he said.
Speaking about the occupied Donbas, the President stressed that the return of the conflict into a hot phase will put an end to all reforms and to restore the standard of living of Ukrainians, while the Ukrainian society is tired of war.
“Almost 60% support rate for the return of the occupied territories exclusively political and diplomatic means”, – said the President.
He stressed that 11% of Ukrainians refuse to offer any attempt to return the occupied territories of Donbass, and 14% advocate that a conflict freeze, and 13% support a military offensive.

Russia has occupied the Autonomous Republic of Crimea in 2014 year. The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine officially declared on 20 February 2014 beginning of the temporary occupation of Crimea and Sevastopol by Russia. Key international organizations, including the UN General Assembly has condemned Russia’s actions and called the annexation and occupation of Crimea illegal. Against Russia were imposed economic sanctions. For the implementation by Moscow of the so-called elections with the participation of the Crimea in 2016-m to year the Parliament of Ukraine recognized the Russian state Duma is illegitimate.
