According to the President, today the anti-corruption system is built so that none of the high officials, there is no guarantee of impunity.

“Nobody can guarantee political roof or cover. This fully applies to friends of the President,” he said.

Poroshenko said that BP established an absolute record on the effective votes for the deprivation of parliamentary immunity.

“Call to make, and finally to agree on changes to the Constitution, which abolish parliamentary immunity. To facilitate the adoption of this decision, ensure that you do not sense that it is directed against you, I have a very simple proposal – let’s take this decision with its introduction with effect from 1 January 2020, for the election of the new Verkhovna Rada”, – said Poroshenko.

28 June it was reported that the President expects the Verkhovna Rada in the near future the decision on the abolition of parliamentary immunity.

Poroshenko proposed to revoke the immunities of deputies of the next convocation 07.09.2017
