President Petro Poroshenko has signed laws which 5 years are exempt from VAT transactions for the supply of works and services for the production of national films, as well as the operation of the import of goods for cinematic action. About it reports a press-service of the President.

Poroshenko stressed that changes in the Tax and Customs codes will contribute to further support and develop the production of high-quality Ukrainian film product.

“Now for me there is one law, not even two, aimed at further state support of cinematography. We are talking about removing the tax, the removal of customs duties on the equipment imported by the filmmakers in order to shoot a high-quality, Patriotic, Ukrainian cinema”, – said Poroshenko.

Documents introduced exemption for 5 years from VAT and import duty of goods that are used in cinematography. Also provides for VAT exemptions for distribution, demonstrations, distribution of national and foreign films, dubbed in the state language.

Recall, November 7, the Verkhovna Rada has introduced tax incentives for Ukrainian cinema. Changes to the Tax code regarding the state support of cinematography in Ukraine N3238-d on second reading and in General voted 228 deputies of deputies. Also, the Council approved amendments to the Customs code regarding support of cinematography in Ukraine, N3239-D.
